POLL

Should Stacy Lynne be declared Queen of the Fair? Every week Stacy appears before the City Council Meeting to complain about city efforts regarding sustainability. This is all part of a United Nations conspiracy to take over local governments, etc. By acting this way Stacy has done more to publicize sustainability than platoons of environmental activists. An unintended consequence? You decide. See City won’t pursue charges stemming from failed recall effort. Thanks to the Fort Collins Coloradoan

As a friend of Mrs. Lynne’s and a long time volunteer with the sustainable living fair I find this post to be misplaced at best.

For the last ten years that I have been involved with this fair we have attempted to make it a nonpolitical, community building event. Our efforts have been to join disassociated members of the local business, farming and consumer community, not distance them further.

What Mrs. Lynne is attempting to bring to the publics attention is the global influence that undermines the local community in a negative manner.

It would be better to find common ground with those people in the community who you believe may or may not be representing you rather than feed into the illusion that we can create a better environment and community by polarizing ourselves.

I encourage anyone who may feel the same way not to participate in this type of nonsense.
